Yard sign

We donated $20 more to the Obama campaign and got four yard signs, as well as a really cool poster. We stuck one at the curb by the mailbox at noon today. We plan to take it down each night.

I don't think it will last six hours.

Obama signs are being defaced/stolen en masse in our area of NC. Some people are reportedly receiving vicious threats as well.

Any thefts/vandalism/ threats will be posted on my blog and sent on to the local Obama campaign HQ.

We put up the sign because we're sick of looking at the two palin/mccain signs across the street. Frankly, it's just that simple.

I do think it's a bad idea because it paints a big crosshairs on our house for pissed-off right-wing illiterates, but my wife was stubborn and insisted we put up the sign because we have every right to do so.

She's right, of course, even if it will cost us the dead soliders of all the fake plumbers and Joe "Six-packs" who drive by for our tenure at this residence.

The next couple weeks will be interesting.
