Mandarin update

Here are some recent photos of my mandarin, still doing great in the ten gallon after four months. And still eating roe, cyclo, and copepods.

And below are some pics of my green star polyps and relatively new crocea clam.

Here is a shot of my 1 gallon reef vase from above.

All photos taken by Dick Reed, AMAS club member.

i have 1 mandarin in a 55 gallons. i have about 35 lbs of live rock. lately i have seen him eat the slow sinking morcels i feed the damsels and clowns he is with.

as for the intake of the powerheads. ahh got a scooter blenny that got sucked dead. i then bought an attachment filter to the pro4 powerhead. works fine.

another thing. sometimes you'll see what looks like some ick spots. they are nothing and will disappear.

ideally i was told put live rocks in equivalent of the gallons tank size.
